1. When is check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is from 1:00 PM (noon) onwards. If you arrive earlier, feel free to leave your bags with us while you explore the area. Check-out time is by 10:00 AM. If you need a later check-out, please inquire at the front desk, and we will try to accommodate you based on availability.

2. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and advance payment. Please contact us for further details.

3. Do you have lockers?

Yes. In the rooms, the guest has his own locker with a key.

4. Is there a curfew at the hostel?

No, there is no curfew. However, we ask guests to respect quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.

5. What happens if I don’t show up for my hostel reservation?

If you do not show up without prior notice, our cancellation policy will apply, and you may be charged for the first night or the full stay, depending on the booking terms.

6. Are hostels only for young people?

No, hostels welcome travelers of all ages! While some guests are students or backpackers, we also accommodate families, groups, and older travelers.

7. What types of rooms do you offer?

We offer a variety of rooms, including:

  • Dormitory rooms (mixed or female-only)
  • Private rooms (single, twin, or double)
  • Family rooms
8. What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the type of booking. Please check the terms during your reservation or contact us for details.

9. Can I modify my booking after I have made it?

Yes, changes can be made depending on availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to adjust your reservation.

10. Can a man stay in a female-only dorm?

No, female-only dorms are strictly for female guests.

11. What is your policy on guests?

Only registered guests are allowed in dormitory rooms. If you have a visitor, they are welcome in the common areas but may not stay overnight.

12. Is Hostel Tabor good for families?

Yes! We offer family-friendly rooms and a quiet environment suitable for all ages.

13. Is Ljubljana a safe city?

Yes, Ljubljana is considered one of the safest cities in Europe. As with any destination, we recommend taking general precautions with your belongings.

14. Can I bring pets to the hostel?

Pets are only allowed if you are alone in the room. They are subject to an additional charge according to the applicable price list.

15. What is the Local Tax or Tourism Tax?

The Tourism Tax is a small fee required by the city for all visitors staying overnight. The exact amount will be specified during your booking.

16. Are sanitary facilities shared?

Yes, we provide only shared sanitary facilities for our guests.

17. What happens if I damage something in the hostel?

Guests are responsible for any damages caused. Depending on the situation, you may be asked to cover the repair costs.

18. Can I extend my stay at the hostel?

Yes, extensions are possible based on availability. Please check with the front desk as soon as possible.

19. Are towels and bedding provided?

Yes, bedding and towels are provided for all guests.

20. Does your hostel have a bar?

No, we do not have a bar, but there are many great bars and cafes nearby!

21. Can I bring guests to my room?

No, only registered guests are allowed in the rooms. Visitors can meet you in the common areas.

22. Can I smoke in my room?

No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hostel. Designated smoking areas are available outside.

23. Is there an age restriction?

Guests under 18 require additional official permission, signed by their parents, one of the parents, or legal guardians.

24. Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, we have self-service laundry available for guests. You will need to purchase a token at the reception to use the washing machine.

25. Do I need identification?

Yes, all guests must present a valid ID or passport upon check-in.

26. Is consuming alcohol and other psychoactive substances allowed in the hostel?

We discourage alcohol consumption on the premises, though it is not strictly prohibited. However, guests who violate hostel rules may be asked to leave. The use of illegal drugs and other psychoactive substances is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction without a refund.

27. Do I need to leave my room key at the reception?

Yes, guests are required to leave their room key at the reception when leaving the hostel.

Lost keys will be charged a replacement fee. Please take care of your key to avoid additional costs.

28. Is the hostel accessible to people with disabilities?

Unfortunately, our hostel is not currently wheelchair-friendly. However, changes are being made in this area - we hope to soon be able to offer better accessibility for everyone.

29. How do I get to Lake Bled?

Lake Bled is just a short distance from our hostel. You can easily reach it by taking a bus from the nearby bus station. The bus schedule to Bled and back to Ljubljana is available at the reception. The main bus station is located next to the main railway station. Alternatively, we offer bike rentals at the hostel, or our front desk staff can help arrange a taxi for you.
